Safety

Out of this nettle, danger, we pluck this flower, safety. {Henry IV Act 2 Scene 3 ~ William Shakespeare}

The Moray Gig takes safety very seriously.
We operate within the Atlantic Challenge Code of Safe Practice for the use Atlantic Challenge gigs and are licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority to operate in Findhorn Bay.

The RIB – call sign ‘Gig Escort’

The gig is accompanied by a custom-built 6.8m RIB (rigid inflatable boat) when afloat with clients.

Crew are trained to a standard required by the Atlantic Challenge Code of Practice and the Royal Yachting Association.  This includes crew who are trained to powerboat instructor standard.  This ensures that there is a very high level of competence for these very special craft. All members of the Moray Gig crew hold a First Aid qualification.
